identifying features • His most notable feature is his freckles, the most notable one just below his lip. He has seven piercings, three along his lobes and then a tragus piercing in his left ear. Although he doesn't yet have any, he has an interest in tattoos. He has quite a few scars, though a large portion of them are simply from being a rambunctious kid, while a few others are from the dog his foster family had.
overall appearance • Wuxian keeps his hair somewhat long, having always preferred it over shorter hair cuts he got growing up. He dyes it, but has never gone more obscure than a medium brown color. He has freckles here and there, and piercing, dark brown eyes. His style of dress is usually comfortable chic, and he's often found in dark colors, especially black.

overall personality • Wuxian is known by many to be one that never seems to be without a smile. He is happy-go-lucky and easily makes friends. Beneath his exterior though, he battles with undiagnosed ADHD and (recently) diagnosed depression. Memories of his past life are sometimes hard to deal with, especially on days where he can't remember what he ate for breakfast but can remember what happened during his time as a cultivator in Ancient China.

overall history • Wuxian was born as Wei Ying in San Francisco to Changze and Sanren, and was their only child. They died in a car accident when Wuxian was six, and he was sent to a foster home where the family was mostly in the foster care system for the extra money. He gained much older siblings who liked to mess with him, neglectful foster parents, and a pet dog he was initially happy about until it was determined it really didn't like the new family addition and would attack Wuxian any chance it got, leading to Wuxian's fear of dogs. When he was nine, a friend of his parents finally gained custody of him, in a custody battle Wuxian has no memory of.

His life regained some normalcy when he was brought into the Jiang family, but he still faced some difficulties. Mrs. Jiang never liked how close his mom and her husband supposedly were, and took out her anger and jealousy on Wuxian. When Wuxian began outperforming her own son, her negative feelings turned into abuse. She never caused him any permanent harm, but he still holds the mental scars from it.

Nowadays, he lives in the dorms, and is learning to move past his current past, though he's still struggling to grasp what happened during his time as a cultivator. His memories came to him suddenly when he was 16, and his first memory was of his death, which heavily traumatized him. Although other memories have come back as well, being torn apart is not a memory he necessarily enjoys having.
