IT WAS A TIME of prosperity, a golden age of heroism. The Justice League had overcome almost every threat thrown their way. The world was not perfect; but it was as close as they could get it, and sometimes that was enough. The Justice League worked harmoniously, and have come to the point where all members rarely have to show up in the line of duty all at once. They had task forces now, small groups that could take almost any threat. They have grown comfortable; they even doubt there will be another universal threat.
ON THE EDGE OF SPACE, HOWEVER.... the ruins of a skull shaped ship drifted to outer boundaries- The Source Wall! As Brainiac awoke, a being with seemingly endless power granted the mastermind one wish. Now the despot has chartered a course for Earth, and this time, he will leave none standing.
AND FROM A DARK PLACE, VOICES BEG TO BE SET FREE....
AND A FAMILIAR VOICE BRINGS A GRAVE MESSAGE FROM THE FUTURE, WARNING OF AN IMPENDING DOOM....
